Police: Hit & Run Accident Leaves Man On Life Support

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) - Right now, Fresno police say a man is being kept on life support in the hospital after he was hit by a car.

Police say the car kept going and failed to stop at the accident.

Police say the man in his fifties was crossing the street at McKinley near Normal around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday night.
 
However it was not in a crosswalk, when he was hit by the car traveling on McKinley Avenue in southeast Fresno.


Police say the man was hit so hard that his body flew several yards and  he has severe brain damage.

Police say officers are looking in the neighborhood for a light colored small 2 or 4 door car.

Police say witnesses believe it was a BMW, Honda, or Mitsubishi.
