Hit And Run In Fresno Injures One

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

UPDATE: Police say the driver of the car fled on foot but has since turned himself in.

31-year-old Miguel Flores was arrested for felony hit and run.



Fresno police need your help to find a driver who may have been drunk when they hit a person a walking on the street and then ran away.

The crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday night in the area of Jensen and Willow.

Witnesses called 911 after they saw a GMC truck speeding and running red lights.

The caller told police they believed the driver may have been drunk.

Police say a car was stopped at the red light and a 48–year-old man and his teenage daughter were walking across Willow Avenue.

Witnesses say the driver of the speeding truck did not stop and hit the small car and the pedestrian.

The teen was not hurt because police say the man pushed her out of the way.

The man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

After the crash, witnesses say the driver ran away on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Fresno Police Department.
