Save Mart Gift Card Theft Ring Busted By Merced Police

MERCED, Calif. (KMPH) - Merced police have arrested a woman in connection with a Save Mart gift card theft ring.

Christine Melton was arrested at her home.

Police say they found items that are used to steal access card information there.

Melton was arrested for burglary, forgery, and possession of stolen property.

Police also found mail and credit cards at Melton's home that did not belong to her.

Detectives believe account information was stolen from those Save Mart gift cards.

More arrests in connection to this theft ring could be on the way.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Merced police.
