FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
In 2011, Major League Baseball first introduced the "Fan Cave" - where a handful of superfans spend an entire season watching games together in New York City. One of the eight chosen this year is a Fresno native who grew up watching the Giants and Grizzlies.
Angela Lauren Yanez is one of eight "dwellers" who will be in front of a TV for all 2,430 MLB games this season, from the first pitch every day to the final out. The group is tasked with helping grow baseball to a younger audience by combining the sport with pop culture and sharing it with the world via social media.
Yanez lived in Fresno the first 13 years of her life, and says baseball really connected her and her father, and she cherishes the memories of watching games with him.
