Mother Reunited With Missing 3-Year-old Girl

Posted:
HURON, Calif. (KMPH) - KMPH FOX 26 was in Huron when a mother was reunited with her 3-year-old Monday morning.

The little girl was at the center of an Amber Alert issued after her mother said the girl was taken from her Huron home Sunday night.

Police say the girl was abducted from the mother’s car when she ran back into her house near 10th and N Street.

About ten hours later, she was found walking in a field about a half mile away.

Neighbors say they stayed up through the night looking for the little girl and were relieved that she was found safe.

Officials are now searching for the man they believed took her. He is described as a Hispanic male, about 30-years-old, wearing a red shirt and red hat. He is also believed to have been using a gray and red Mongoose bike.

If you have any information, you’re asked to contact the Madera County Sheriff’s Department at 559-600-3111 or call Crime Stoppers at 559-498-STOP.
