Hair Transplant is Just For Men

Posted:

Whether it's of the artsy, designer, or woodland variety... beards are in fashion right now. But not everyone can grow one.

That's why some are turning to facial hair transplants. One cosmetic surgeon we talked with says he used to do 2 or 3 a year, but now is doing facial hair transplants on a weekly basis.

Here's how it works: Hair is typically taken from the back of the head.

The procedure can take up to 12 – hours to complete. The man can expect a week of swelling and redness, and another week before he can shave.

Depending on the number of follicles transplanted, it can cost anywhere between $5,000 to $15,000.
