Latest Wedding Trend - Using Social Media

If you're getting ready to walk down the aisle, prepare to pay up. According to theknot.com, the average cost for a wedding in the U.S. is nearly $30,000.

Turns out, couples are spending more than ever on their big day. And get this, that doesn't even include the honeymoon!

Here's an untraditional expense that some couples are paying for: Social Media Concierge.

For $3,000 couples who get married at W Hotels can hire a Social Media Concierge. That's someone who will build a social media footprint for the wedding — by making sure the guests are all using the same hashtag, and live–tweeting the whole event.

The concierge will also take and post photos to Instagram and Pinterest.

When it's all over, the hotel puts the best posts into a book for you.

Couples say the service lets friends and family in faraway places follow along on social media.
