Caught On Camera: Woman Accused of Stealing NAPA Auto Parts

Posted:
KINGSBURG, Calif. (KMPH) -

The search is on for a man and woman who went on a shopping spree but failed to pay for anything.

The crime was caught on tape.

It took place at the locally owned Napa Auto Shop in Kingsburg about a month ago.

Kingsburg police had been investigating but the leads went cold.

But maybe you can help police identify the woman and man.

She is seen on camera, stuffing her mouth with candy and then stuffing some tools in a purse.

She acts like she's reaching for her phone.

She grabs a few more items, then bolts out the door and jumps into this red car and takes off.

The shop owner, K.C. Carroll says, "We are very involved in our community, where we have stores. When you see something like this happen, the first thing you think is everybody is out to take advantage of you as a business."

Carroll says she went after expensive items, like complete tool kits.

Carroll and Kingsburg police hope someone knows who they are.

On the windshield of the get–a–way car it appears to have some sort of identification stickers on it, possibility like the ones used to get on base at "Naval Air Station Lemoore".

KMPH Fox 26 contacted the naval station and they too are investigating.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Kingsburg Police Department at (559) 897–2931.
