Mother Battling Lung Cancer Gets Burglarized

Posted:
FRESNO, CA -

A Fresno mother with three kids, battling stage-three lung cancer comes home from a chemotherapy treatment to find her apartment ransacked.

The crooks broke in during broad daylight Friday morning, stealing electronics, clothes, food and even toilet paper.

It happened sometime after 8:30 at the "Villas Del Norte Apartments" in northwest Fresno, near Ashlan and Hughes.

Autumn Millan says, "To steal food, to steal children's toys, what type of person are you how could you live with yourself."

Millan said she did everything right, and even double checked her locks before she went for her chemotherapy.

The family just moved into the apartment this month.

Thanks to an income tax return, they bought new tv's, and were so proud of themselves they even took pictures of their new place.

Now, it's all gone.

Aiden, her son who just celebrated his 4th birthday days ago misses his gifts.

But most of all, he misses something else.

Aiden says, "They took my pillow and blanket. They took those too."

Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Crimestoppers at 559-621-STOP, that's 559-621-7867.

Remember you can remain anonymous and even earn yourself some cash for your tip.

The family is accepting donations: They can be reached at (559) 840-2970.
