Cat Stuck in Tree Draws Concern From Neighbors

VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) -

There it is.

Spotted 60-feet high in a giant oak tree.

Neighbors say it's been stranded up there for nearly two weeks.

"I think it's sad, it's been crying day and night."

Angela Tucker, who lives next door, says her heart breaks every time she hears the little guy's cries.

"He's stuck! He's stuck on a branch that goes outward so I think he's confused now as to what he needs to do to get down."

She's says she's tried everything to make that happen.

But nothing worked.

Not even the lure of tuna and milk would make this little cat come down.

She and several concerned neighbors called the fire department, animal control ... Anyone they could think of for help.

But they say no one would come out, until now.

Noe Castrejon, who owns Noe's Tree Service says he's seen his share of cats stuck in trees.

"They know how to go up but sometimes they don't know how to get down."

After a pretty steep climb, Castrejon finally makes it up.

But you can see, as he gets closer, the cat moves further away.

Until its barely hanging on from the edge of the branch.

Rattling the nerves of everyone watching.

"Come down baby, come down."

"And I thought the branch was going to come down with it but the cat just put his little front paws out and landed like they're supposed to do," Tucker said.

It fell to the ground and climbed back up a neighbor's roof.

Resting now - looks like this cat still has nine more lives to go.
