Former Valley Teacher, Arrested For Sexual Abuse

Posted: Updated:
Riverside County -

A former California Vice Principal, who also taught here in the valley, is now in jail accused of sexually assaulting two students.

Former Coalinga Middle School teacher Andrea Michelle Cardosa was arrested Monday and is now charged with sixteen counts of sexually abusing the two girls, including the now-twenty-eight-year-old woman here who posted a video on Youtube.

In it, she says she confronted Cardosa on the phone and she says Cardosa admitted to the abuse.

Shortly after the video was posted Cardoso resigned from her position at the Riverside School District and, deputies say, turned herself in to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.

The two victims say they were abused between 1997 and 2001 and in 2009 or 2010.

There are no reports of abuse during Cardosa's time as a teacher in the valley.
