4.4 Earthquake Hits Fontana In San Bernardino County

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck near Fontana around 1:35 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the USGS.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries.

Several aftershocks were reported with the largest being a 2.3-magnitude aftershock just after 2:00 a.m.

The epicenter of the quake was 3 miles north of Fontana in San Bernardino County, 46 miles east of Los Angeles.

LA firefighters say there were no related calls for emergency aid, and no reports of damage.

Fontana is home to the California Speedway, where NASCAR races in March on KMPH FOX 26.
