A man wanted for felony domestic violence was shot by police in Visalia after he ran from officers and pulled out a gun.
The shooting happened just before 4:30 p.m. in the area of Crenshaw Drive and Westgate Avenue.
Officers say they tried to contact the man and he took off running. Police say he then pulled out a gun and refused to drop it.
According to Visalia police, the man was shot once in the leg and taken to a hospital.
No officers were injured in the incident.
The Tulare County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting.
