Father Arrested For Death Of Child In Fresno On Thursday

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

UPDATE:

The girlfriend of Donald Nelson has been arrested in connection with the death of Nelson's 3-year-old son, Zion.

Moneesha Camp, 24, is in Fresno County Jail on murder charges.

 


 

A Fresno father is now charged in the death of his three year old son.

27-year-old Donald Nelson was arrested Thursday.

Police say Nelson told them he was driving with the toddler in a blanket, when he noticed the boy wasn't breathing.

He then pulled over near Garland and Palm Avenues and called 911.

Paramedics performed CPR, but could not save the child.

The child had injuries on his body and showed possible signs of abuse.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
