Missing Autistic Boy Found Alive in Merced

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

UPDATE:

The Merced County Sheriff's Office confirms Isaac Sprague has been found alive and has been  taken to a hospital for treatment. 

The 7-year-old boy went missing around 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

While the boy's exact condition is unknown, a sheriff's official says he is expected to be OK.  


The Merced County Sheriff's Office is searching for a 7-year-old autistic boy, who went missing around 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

Isaac Sprague was practicing archery near the Merced / Stanislaus County line in Hilmar when it's believed that he wandered off.

Isaac is 4 feet tall, 55 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown jacket, and was carrying a red and green blanket.

Isaac is unable to communicate due to his autism.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Merced County Sheriff's Department or call 911.
