Clovis West Football Coach Quits

Posted:

Michael Parsons has resigned after four seasons as head football coach at Clovis West High School.

The Golden Eagles were 12-1 and won the Valley Championship in Parsons' first year, after he left Modesto Christian to take the job.

But they have not had a winning season since, going 3-8, 2-9 and 5-7.

Parsons will stay at the school as a teacher.  Clovis West hopes to have a new head football coach by the spring.
