Tuesday was a special day in Visalia as the community honored a 5-year-old boy fighting for his life.

Cash shank is battling a rare form of cancer for the second time in less than a year.

Cash went to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee for treatment and was given the all clear. However, his brain tumor returned.

Cash's grandma, Charleen Bradford, accepted the proclamation from the City of Visalia for him.

She says that the family is seeing how good people can be because there has so much support from the community. "It's amazing, it's amazing all the things that people have done for him and how the community's come together. It really just makes you have faith in people, it just, I can't explain how touched the whole family is by it all," said Charleen.

Cash celebrated "It's a Very Cash Christmas" last week with his family, so they could enjoy the holiday with him.

Cash also went to Disneyland with the Make A Wish Foundation where he had a wonderful time.

A donation fund has been set up to assist the family while they care for Cash. Click here if you would like to contribute to the fund.
