One Dead In Shooting At LAX, Suspect In Custody

UPDATE: 

The TSA officer killed in Friday morning's shooting inside LAX has been identified as 39-year-old Gerardo I. Hernandez, according to the Associated Press. Hernandez is the first officer to be killed in the line of duty since the TSA was founded 12 years ago. 

 

 



 

UPDATE:

The shooter has been identified as 23-year-old Paul Anthony Ciancia. Officials say Ciancia has no connection to the TSA.

 


 

 

UPDATE:

One person has died from a gunshot wound following Friday morning's shooting inside LAX.

The targets of the shooter are reportedly all TSA agents, including the man killed.

 


 

We have breaking news out of Los Angeles.

Fox 11 in Los Angeles reported a shooting at Los Angeles International Airport Friday morning at terminal 3.

There are reports of multiple injuries but no reports of any deaths at this time.

There are also reports that the shooter has been taken down and is in custody.

We'll have more information later on the KMPH News at Midday.

United Airlines, flight 6330 arriving from LAX 5:22 p.m.
American Eagle, flight 2617 arriving from LAX 6:05 p.m.
