Kidnapping Suspect Arrested In Clovis

CLOVIS, Calif. (KMPH) -

A man is behind bars after police say he kidnapped a woman and her baby and bit the woman in the process.

Fresno police say 25-year-old James Anderson broke into a home near at Thorne and Dudley, near Belmont and Golden State around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night.

Officers say Anderson grabbed a 2-week-old girl, ordered her mother into his car and drove them to a home at Purvis and Fordham, near Barstow and Sunnyside in Clovis.

Officers arrived at the home and Anderson tried to escape but was soon captured.

The woman and baby were located and taken to the hospital to get checked out.
