Jensen Plays Hero, Dream Season Alive for Bulldogs

Destiny? Fresno State 6'6" tight end Marcel Jensen blocked a 37 yard San Diego State field goal in the final seconds, to send a tie game at Qualcomm Stadium to overtime, where the 'Dogs scored first and held on for a 35-28 win. Marteze Waller scored the game winner from one yard out just moments after going 11 yards on a shovel pass on 3rd and 8, and Derron Smith batted down a pass defensively to seal the win.

The Bulldogs saw a 14 point lead disappear in the 4th quarter, as they ran only three offensive plays in the final 11 1/2 minutes. They also saw their Heisman candidate quarterback Carr sacked three times, and hurried countless more, after only having been brought down three times in the first six games. He had just 98 yards of passing in a 7-7 game at the half.

In the win though, the senior QB did extend his nation leading streak of games with a touchdown pass, and Davante Adams set a school record for receiving touchdowns in a career, hauling in his 26th and 27th.

The Bulldogs undefeated season and BCS dream remains alive, and they are still in the driver's seat to host the MWC title game on December 7th.
