Former boxer and nutrition expert, Jenifer Alcorn, visited Great Day with nutrition and exercise tips.

Jenifer showed foods that are helpful dealing with post traumatic stress disorder and those to avoid.

Foods to Eat:

Whole grain breads & cereals
Oat bran
Oatmeal
Beans
Citrus fruits
Strawberries
Beets

Foods to Avoid:

Alcohol
Caffeine
Gluten
Packaged foods high in salt

Jenifer also talked about walking as a great way to exercise and showed the proper way to do it to get the most benefit while avoiding common injuries.

Finally, Jenifer talked about an event going on October 26th called the Battle Buddy Run, happening at Kastner Intermediate School, located on First, south of Nees in Fresno.

Battle Buddy Run was created to raise PTSD awareness as well as raise funds for the Battle Buddy Foundation.
