With formers players on hand, the Bulldogs scored touchdowns on their first four possessions and beat UNLV 38-14. Senior quarterback Derek Carr connected with sophomore wide receiver Davante Adams for four of Fresno State's five scores, and Carr set the school mark for career touchdown passes and completions in the process.
Carr now has 86 career TD passes, passing Paul Pinegar's mark of 84. The Heisman candidate also eclipsed the 10,000 yards mark for his career, after the 412 yard performance. Fresno State more than doubled the Rebels in total yards, and did not allow their opponent to score in the second half.
The 'Dogs return to action next Saturday, October 26, with a 7:30 game televised on ESPN2 against San Diego State.
