Posted:

A man is recovering at a Fresno hospital after he told police, he was stabbed by a stranger while walking down the street.

This happened Sunday night, at Cedar and Alluvial.

The victim told officers he was walking with his girlfriend and her son when he was attacked and stabbed by a man, who police say is 18-years-old.

The victim was stabbed in the face and on his torso.

He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where his condition is considered serious, but not-life threatening.

The accused stabber ran from the scene and was able to get a ride home from other people who were not involved in the incident.

Those people later returned to the scene and told officers where they left the man.

Officers later tracked him down and arrested him.

They say the man is 18 years old. He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail, accused of Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
