Two In Custody After Giants Fan Stabs Dodgers Fan To Death

Posted:

There was additional security at Thursday night's game between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers after a deadly stabbing just blocks from AT&T Park, involving fans of both teams.

San Francisco police say 24-year-old Jonathan Denver was walking with his father, brother and two other people after leaving a nightclub late Wednesday night.

The group exchanged words with some Giants fans, which then turned physical and Denver was stabbed to death.

21-year-old Michael Montgomery of Lodi was taken into custody and is facing face murder charges. A second suspect was also arrested.

A moment of silence was observed prior to Thursday night's final game between the Dodgers and Giants in San Francisco.
