Rim Fire Near Yosemite Out Of Control

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (KMPH) -

A wildfire is threatening thousands of buildings near Yosemite National Park.

The Rim Fire is nearly out of control and has burned nearly 54,000 acres and is only about 5% contained.

The fire is burning in a remote area and is threatening nearly 2500 structures along Highway 120 and the Tuolumne River, moving toward the community of Pine Mountain Lake.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
