Sierra National Forest officials have identified the body of a man that was swept over Camino Falls Saturday afternoon and located six hikers that were reported missing.
The Madera County Sheriff's Office said Daniel Stephen Greenlaw, 37, of Richmond, Calif., was discovered at the bottom of the waterfall shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Greenlaw was the camp host at the Farm Meadow Campground where he took a group of six vacationers to the West Fork Chiquito Creek area for a swim, the sheriff's office said.
Officials say Greenlaw was attempting to show the vacationers how to slide down rocks to reach the swimming hole. Officials say Greenlaw ended up further downstream than he anticipated and when he tried to stand up, he lost his balance and was swept away by the current over the 100 foot waterfall.
A Madera County search and rescue team located the missing hikers around 4 a.m. on Sunday.
