Police Shooting: High-Speed Car Chase Ends In Gunfire Near Kingsburg

Posted: Updated:

Two Parlier police officers have been placed on administrative leave after shooting two men Sunday on the heels of a high-speed chase.

Officers tried to pull over the men in the area of Dinuba and Zediker avenues in Parlier. At least one of the people inside of the car was wanted by police.

Instead, the driver sped off, and the chase ended in a field at Road Eight and Boston Avenue near Kingsburg.

Parlier's police chief says the men started shooting at his officers, so they fired back.

The officers were not hurt, but the two other men were hit.
