Powerball Frenzy; 3 Jackpot Winning Tickets Sold in New Jersey & Minnesota

Posted: Updated:
MERCED, Calif. (KMPH) -

There are millions of disappointed people around the country, many of them rushed to the store to buy a little square piece paper - a Powerball lottery ticket.

Wednesday's jackpot reached nearly $450 million.

The winning numbers: 05, 25, 30, 58, 59 and Powerball 32.

The jackpot will be split three ways, with the winning tickets sold in Minnesota and New Jersey.

The odds of winning the big jackpot were 1 in 175 million.

That didn't stop even the most skeptical of dreamers.

"I hope it lets me win...so I can buy my grand kids everything they need and go on vacation," said Debbie Galvan of Merced.

One man came to a 7-11 store with a premonition.

"I felt lucky. With my wife and what she just told me.  She said she had a dream last night something exciting is coming, so I decided to stop by and play," said Joseph Obaiza of Merced.

But most Powerball players bought their tickets with just a lot of hope.

"20 tickets, $40 worth.  Everybody's got a chance," said Greg Bennett of Merced.

The odds of winning the entire pot are nearly impossible, but the odds of winning one of the other smaller prizes are 1 in 32.
