Fresno Fire Chief In Court

Fresno Fire Chief Rob Brown was in court Tuesday morning.

Brown faces felony charges for a domestic violence incident at his home back in June.

The district attorney says this is not the first time something like this has happened in the Brown home.

Brown's wife, Beth, stated there were four to five unreported domestic violence disputes between her and Brown before moving to Fresno, KMPH news partner KMJ reports.

Brown's defense attorney Marshall Hodgkins said they went through receipts from the bar he was drinking at and found he had three drinks in two hours, KMJ's Toni Tinoco reports.

Brown is ordered to attend alcoholic anonymous meetings twice a week and he's also taking some anger management classes too.

Brown's next court date is set for August 13.
