Downtown Fresno Restaurant Opens Its Doors

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A new restaurant is hoping to turn locals into paying customer the next time they go to a Grizzlies baseball game.

Sumthin Ta Eat on Wednesday held its grand opening on Kern Street and Van Ness Avenue in downtown Fresno.

The owner says God inspired her to open the restaurant, which boasts the "best home cookin' this side of heaven."

So, what do they serve?

According to owner Stephanie Mitchell, some of everything.

"teriyaki chicken. I do enchiladas, lasagna, I do meat loaf, Salisbury steak, you name it, I'll do it," Mitchell said.

Sumthin Ta Eat also offers a banquet for events and free Wi-Fi Internet for its customers.
