VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) -

Police officers on Friday found two people dead inside of a condo in Visalia.

The victims were found around 10:29 a.m. in the 3700 block of W. Damsen Avenue

Detectives say the double murder appears to be a "deliberate act upon these specific victims and not a random act."

Jess Hayes lives near the condominium where the bodies were found.

Hayes says, "It's very quiet, no activity that we were aware of at all."

Reporter asks, "No gunshots?"

Hayes says, "No, nothing at all and we've would have heard those we thought."

Jess Hayes told detectives he could not believe such a crime would take place in his quite neighborhood.

Visalia police are not releasing the names of the victims, but a woman who says she was a caretaker of the couple back in 2009 says their names were Jerry Morillo and Marie Rogers, and Marie suffered from a number of aliments.

Tanya Garcia says, "I wouldn't be surprised if she passed away because she's very ill, so that is that's why I came to see. However, my daughter said she read online that it was a homicide. So yeah it shocks me."

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 559-713-4740.
