Machete-Wielding Man Injures Two In Visalia

VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) -

Two people received hand wounds after a struggle over a machete took place in southeast Visalia, the Visalia Police Department said.

Police arrived in the 1500 Block of S. Santa Fe Avenue at 10:20 a.m. regarding a large fight that had broken out in the front yard of a house.

Police say Bryan Jenkins, 43, grabbed a machete and began threatening others.

A struggle over the machete began. A woman received cuts to her hand and a man received cuts to his hand and his back, police said. 

The man and the woman were treated and released at Kaweah Delta Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.

Jenkins was arrested and later booked into Tulare County Jail for two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
