Puppy Left In Orange Cove Trash Can

Posted: Updated:
ORANGE COVE, Calif. (KMPH) -

Who would toss a puppy into a garbage can?

That is what Orange Cove Animal Control officers are trying to figure out.

The puppy was found at the bottom of the trash only minutes away from being picked up and hauled away.

A life spared thanks to Orange Cove resident Rosie Frias.

"I hope the dog finds a good home. It's a beautiful dog," Frias said.

The dog, who some are now calling "Lucky," is currently with the good folks at the StoneCliffe Animal Rescue in Lemoore where he's getting a bath, food and shelter.

If you'd like to adopt him or perhaps another dog, the StoneCliff Animal Rescue is at 20 1/2 Avenue.

The shelters phone number is (559) 924–8598.
