FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

There is still no clear winner in the election to privatize Fresno's trash collection.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, just 262 votes separate the two sides.

An updated ballot count could be released this afternoon.

Right now, the majority of voters are favoring going with a private company to run residential trash collection.

Supporters of Measure G, including Mayor Ashley Swearengin, said she expected the race to be close.

Voter turnout was low -- just about 20percent -- despite a big push by those for and against Measure G.

Each claimed its volunteers encountered hostile opponents while out gathering signatures for support.

Both sides also complained about signs stolen from front lawns.
