Fatal Stabbing In Tower District Closes Businesses

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Fresno police are investigating an early morning fatal stabbing in the Tower District.

The incident was reported just after 1 a.m. in area of Wishon and Hedges avenues, police said.

The victim was a 32-year-old man who worked at the 24-hour work collaborative known as The Hashtag. Police say the man was working on a project before his friends found him on the sidewalk and called authorities.

Police shut down a number of businesses in the area including Café Corazon.

Investigators are currently looking over surveillance video and talking to potential witnesses.
