Fresno Man Arrested After Pointing Gun At Girlfriend's Head

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A 41-year-old man was arrested Thursday night after he pointed a gun at his girlfriend's head, the Fresno Police Department said.

Police say the incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. in the area of Butler and Cedar avenues.

Police say the 41-year-old man became upset with his 38-year-old girlfriend after leaving a party in southeast Fresno. The man fired a round into the air from a handgun and then pointed the gun at the woman's head before threatening to kill her, police said.

The man was booked into Fresno County Jail for assault with a firearm, terrorist threats and several weapons-related charges.
