Gun Violence: Police Investigate A Series Of Shootings In Orange Cove

ORANGE COVE, Calif. (KMPH) -

Police in Orange Cove are investigating a series of shootings over the weekend.

Since Saturday, there have been five shootings in the east Fresno County city, police said.

The first shooting took place around 7 p.m. on Saturday in the 600 block of 2nd street where a woman in her 30's was struck in the leg, police said.

The woman was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. 

Two other shooting incidents took place around 8 p.m. on Sunday in the 900 block of 11th Street. No injuries were reported in either of those shootings.

The Orange Cove Police Department asking for leads. Anyone with information is asked to call the Orange Cove Police Department or contact the "We Tip" line at (559) 626-5102.
