Popular Local Burger Joint Turns 50

Posted:
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The Triangle Drive-In in southwest Fresno is nearing its 50th anniversary, and locals say they still can't get enough of the storied burger joint.

"I just like the whole experience. They have great hamburgers and, actually, I love there French fries," said Art Stehly, who visits the triangle drive-in at least once a week and orders a no.2 -- a hamburger, French fries and a Coca-Cola.

The Triangle Drive-In opened its doors in 1963 and has been a popular hang out ever since by dishing out five generations of good food and, more importantly, good service.

The Saleah family bought the place eight years ago from the original owner.

In addition to the burger joint's nostalgia and being home to Fresno's largest collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia, the Triangle is known to serve some of the best lunch in town.

The menu is no fuss, but locals love it.

"What's neat about this place is the history. It's been here forever and I like older, old-school places," Stehly said. "I'll definitely still continue to come here. I have brought my family here before and I tell many friends about it."

In celebration of the 50th anniversary, the Triangle will offer special promotions and events.
