Woman's Body Discovered In Burned Out Fresno Home

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A woman's body was found inside of a burned home Friday in north Fresno, fire officials said.

Fresno Fire Department spokesman Kristopher Townsend said the body was discovered by a friend.

Fire crews were called out to the home on 5701 N. Callisch Ave. around 12:30 p.m. for a structure fire. When crews arrived, the fire was already out. Fire officials say that the fire may have started Thursday.

The cause of the fire may be accidental, Townsend said. The cause of death is still under investigation.
