Madera Teen Killed In Drive-By Shooting

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Madera teen was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting Thursday night, the Madera County Sheriff's Office said.

Robert Moreno III, 19, was shot shortly before 10 p.m. while he was walking toward a convenience store near Avenue 13 1/2 and Cronin Street.

Deputies say someone inside of a baby blue, 4-door Honda Accord with stock rims drove by and fired a single gun shot, striking Moreno.

Moreno was still alive when deputies arrived on the scene, the sheriff's office said

Anyone with information is asked to call 675-7770 or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP. An anonymous tip that leads to an arrest could be worth $1,000.
