Man Dies In Skiing Accident At China Peak

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Fresno man died Saturday evening in a skiing accident at China Peak Mountain Resort.

The man was identified as 49-year-old Richard Sigle. According to reports from the Fresno County Sheriff's Office, Sigle hit a stump with his skis.

Officials said that he had been wearing a helmet.

Emergency crews spent half an hour trying to save him, but they couldn't.
