Man Arrested After Trying To Run Over Witness Of Fight

Posted:
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A 20-year-old man driving a getaway car was arrested on Friday for trying to run down a person in a parking lot, the Fresno Police Department said.

Police say Jose Mora had been recording a fight on his phone in a Walgreens parking lot near Ashlan and Cornelia avenues.

A witness tried to write down the license plate number of the car Mora was driving after a person involved in the fight jumped into Mora's car in an attempt to flee the scene.

That's when police say Mora tried striking the witness with his car three times before pulling out of the parking lot.

Video footage confiscated from the scene confirmed the incident, police said.
