Posted: Updated:
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

A convicted sex offender is back behind bars and facing additional felony charges stemming from a December bust.

Police arrested 38-year-old Frank Charles Reddell on Dec. 26 in the parking lot of a Madera Starbucks. A parole officer walked up to Reddell, a registered sex offender, as he was watching child pornography on a laptop in his car.

Reddell was still wearing an ankle monitor he had been instructed to wear as part of his parole.

When the parole officer tried to grab the computer, Reddell fought back and tried to take off, according to reports filed with the Madera County Sheriff's Office.

Additional Police showed up and arrested Reddell.

An investigation by Madera County Sheriff's task force with Internet Crimes Against Children found thousands of sexually explicit images of children on Reddell's computer and explicit photos of kids they say he captured on his cell phone from homes he worked on in Madera as a handyman.

Reddell now faces additional charges including having and making child pornography.

Investigators are now asking anyone who may have information about Reddell or additional victims to please call the Madera Police Department at 675- 4244.
