Posted:

The Visalia Rawhide baseball team are hiring for the summer.

The baseball team will hold its annual job fair at Rawhide Ballpark at 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Positions are available in concessions, food preparation, retail and ushering.

More than 120 Tulare and Kings County residents were given jobs out of over 750 applicants last year, according to Rawhide officials.

Jennifer Pendergraft,  Rawhide General Manager, said in a press release that it is important for the team to hire friendly, game-day staff.

"Everyone who works here is responsible for the experience our fans have at Rawhide Ballpark," she said. "The fan experience during Rawhide games is among the best in all of professional baseball and our game day staff has a tremendous hand in that. It's a big part of the reason why we were the 2012 California League Organization of the Year, and we're looking forward to even further enhancing the fan experience this season."

Interested applicants are encouraged to pre-register at RawhideBaseball.com.

To pre-register, complete the application located on the homepage and return to the ticket office on Giddings Street in Visalia. Applicants can also scan and email your application to jobfair@rawhidebaseball.com or fax back to (559) 739-7732, ATTENTION: JOB FAIR.

Rawhide hiring staff are asking that applicants to come to the job fair prepared with a copy of a completed application and resume.

Free parking is available at the City of Visalia parking lot at Giddings and Center Streets, just a half-block from the main ballpark entrance.
