USA Today has ranked the Fresno State football team in its first poll for the 2013 season.
The Bulldogs are at number 20, one spot ahead of Oklahoma.
Fresno State, a reigning Mountain West Conference tri-champion, has several key players returning from the team that finished the 2012 season with a record of 9-4. That is a dramatic turnaround from 2011, when the Bulldogs went 4-9 and head coach Pat Hill was replaced by Tim DeRuyter.
The only other Mountain West school to crack the USA Today 2013 top 25 is Boise State, at number 11.
