Plane Crash In Kern County, Two People Dead

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

UPDATE: The two people killed in this plane crash have been confirmed to be Floyd Johnston, owner of Floyd Johnston Construction, and Jacob Curiel, and employee of the company.

Two people were killed as a plane headed home to Fresno from San Diego went down.

The plane fell of radar around 7pm on Sunday. Crews searched that night but had to stop due to foggy conditions.

Investigators found the wreckage on Monday morning near the town of Woody, about 30 miles northeast of Bakersfield.

An FAA spokesman says the 1968 Beech single engine aircraft is registered to Floyd Johnston Construction out of Clovis.

Both people on board were killed.
