Homicide Suspect On The Loose *UPDATE - SUSPECT FOUND*

DELHI, Calif. (KMPH) -

UPDATE: Merced County Sheriff's Office has announced on Thursday, Jason Reed has been taken into custody. An anonymous tip led detectives to a truck stop on I-5 in Lodi. When they arrived, they found Reed in the parking lot and took him into custody.

 

Merced sheriff's are looking for 35-year-old Jason Curtis Reed in connection with a homicide in Delhi.

Police responded to reports of a suspicious death near Sycamore Ave in Delhi on Tuesday. After an investigation, it quickly turned into a homicide case.

The 67-year-old male victim's autopsy is still being conducted.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the victims son, Jason Curtis Reed, who lived in the victim's house and has gone missing. Police are suspecting him of murder and believe he may be in the San Joaquin, Sacramento County area.

The Merced Sheriff's Office is asking for the publics help in locating Mr. Reed. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Merced Sheriff's Office at 209-385-7445.

Police also ask that no one approach Mr. Reed if they see him, he is considered armed and dangerous.
