Bandits Hit 8 Convenience Stores In Fresno And Clovis

Posted:
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Eight cigarette and convenience stores were burglarized over the weekend, Fresno County Police are actively searching for the suspects.

There were four hold ups Sunday, two in Clovis and two in Fresno.  Detectives believe the same person is responsible for all four robberies.

The bandit is believed to be in her forties with long blonde hair. The cashier at the cigarette store at E. Shaw and S. Fowler avenues in Clovis claims, she's no lady. "She told me not to move so I was in shock because it never happened before. So she just came in and she had the gun pointed at me the whole time. It was a black pistol I believe."

Four minutes later Clovis police say the same woman held up another cigarette store at S. Fowler and Ashlan avenues. Police believe she may also be responsible for a heist at Varsity Liquor store on E. Ashlan and N. Cedar avenues.

The cashier held up in Clovis couldn't believe she came face to face with a woman toting a gun.  "I thought she was going to shoot me so I was just scared, and that's why I told her I'm not looking at you. Just take the money and leave."

Thieves have kept police on their toes. Hold–ups this weekend also occurred at two 7–11's in northeast Fresno, a Fastrip store and a Valero station both in southeast Fresno.
