Thursday was Fresno State's first full day in Honolulu, and marked the Bulldogs' first practice away from the mainland. They went through a two hour workout at the University of Hawaii.
They are preparing for their Hawaii Bowl matchup against Southern Methodist, set to kick off on Christmas Eve.
The players are still enjoying the sites on Waikiki Beach as they balance fun with football.
Head coach Tim DeRuyter is encouraging his players to make the most of their free time on the trip, as a reward for their season. He also expects they will be ready to play next Monday.
At stake for Mountain West Champion Fresno State is the program's first ten-win season since 2001.
The Bulldogs are 9-3, while the Mustangs are 6-6.
