MADERA, Calif. (KMPH) -
Madera County sheriff's deputies are hoping surveillance video will help them identify and catch the man they say robbed two convenience stores at gunpoint Saturday night.
The first hold-up happened in the city of Madera, while the second occurred in the county. One of those stores caught the armed suspect -- dubbed the "Santa Bandit" -- on video.
According to deputies, the man appears to be in his early 20s. He was wearing a red Santa Claus hat and a black sweatshirt.
Deputies say he was seen driving away in a dark-colored Cadillac.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
